Retinal Surgery Devices

These devices were designed to safely and reliably deliver a small liquid dose of novel pharmaceutical agent in a bleb beneath the retina in the eye without allowing for backflow into the vitreal space. As a design engineer and engineering consultant, I made significant and direct contributions to the ideation, modeling, prototyping, and iteration of every stage of the project. Additional responsibilities included primary role in prototype assembly for animal trials & pre-clinical studies. All work for this project was done for clients with strict deadlines and accelerated work schedules in place.
